About Farm Select Limited
Farm Select Limited is an integrated agribusiness in Zambia. It seeks to provide affordable protein to the Zambian and export markets. Strategically, Farm Select has focused on two products, namely: point-of-lay hens and table eggs to achieve economies of scale through vertical integration. Farm Select has three farms, two for point-of-lay hen rearing and one for egg production. All the farms are situated in Lusaka province.
Backward integration of feed making and rearing of pullets (point-of-lay hens) provides efficiency in egg production in to maximize value addition. Farm Select effectively and efficiently manages the supply chain of feed ingredients, other materials, drugs, vaccines, and chemicals as they make a significant contribution to costs. With the implementation of vertical integration and efficient management of the supply chain Farm Select can achieve cost and quality competitive All the Farm Managers are qualified up to master’s level and have relevant experience. As a consequence, Farm Select is delivering on its promise of affordability and quality. Prices have started coming down.
